NC 18-year-old charged in his grandfather's murder
An 18-year-old was arrested and charged for allegedly murdering his grandfather in Charlotte on Thursday, according to police.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An 18-year-old was arrested and charged for allegedly murdering his grandfather in Charlotte on Thursday, according to police.
Officials said they found 66-year-old Horace Cook suffering from an injury. Cook was pronounced dead by emergency responders.
Investigators later identified Cook's grandson, Nicholas Smith, as a suspect in the incident. Police said Smith already had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Following an interview with detectives, Smith was charged with murder, armed robbery and larceny of a firearm.
