The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is up for a major award and they need some help.

The downtown Raleigh museum is a finalist for the National Medal for Museum and Library Services, the nation's highest honor recognizing exemplary community service. The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation's libraries and museums, according to its Facebook page.

The natural sciences museum needs its fans to help them win the medal. All you need to do is visit the institute's Facebook page on Friday, March 28, and share how the museum has made a difference in your life and community.

That's it. Good luck to the museum!
