RALEIGH, N.C. — The National Women's Theatre Festival will be holding its first hybrid event with virtual and in-person activities planned this month in North Carolina.

The festival, which started in 2016, has become the nation's largest symposium on gender in theatre, providing a platform for amplifying and celebrating the contributions of women, non-binary, transgender and gender non-conforming.

Events will be happening July 28-31. All in-person events will be held at N.C. State University’s Thompson Hall in Raleigh.

On this week's Out and About Podcast, Mix 101.5's Diane Ramsey talks with the National Women’s Theatre Festival Executive Artistic Director, Johanna Maynard Edwards, about what to expect at this year's event!
