Nash man killed in I-40 crash in Durham
A Nash County man has died in a crash on Interstate 40 in Durham, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Nash County man has died in a crash on Interstate 40 in Durham, police said.
Matthew Alan Evans, 34, of Bailey, was eastbound when his 2012 Chevrolet Malibu ran off the right side of I-40 between the N.C. Highway 54 West and N.C. Highway 751 exits and slammed into a tree, police said.
It's unclear when the crash occurred, police said. A passing driver spotted the wreckage at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and reported it to police.
The crash remains under investigation.
