Eusevio Salazar-Mendoza, who is wanted on a first-degree murder charge, was last seen driving a black 1995 Jeep Cherokee with North Carolina license plate number ZWW-1489.

<b>CASTALIA, N.C.</b> — Nash County sheriff's deputies were searching Sunday for a man wanted in a fatal shooting a day earlier.

Investigators believe that Eusevio Salazar-Mendoza shot and killed Corrello Ramiro at 7942 Buck Road, off N.C. Highway 58, just south of Castalia on Saturday, authorities said. Details of the shooting haven't been released.

Salazar-Mendoza was last seen driving a black 1995 Jeep Cherokee with North Carolina license plate number ZWW-1489. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.

Anyone with information on Salazar-Mendoza's whereabouts or the shooting is asked to call the Nash County Sheriff's Office at 252-459-4121.
