Nash deputies searching for murder suspect

Castalia, N.C. — Nash County sheriff's deputies were searching Sunday for a man wanted in a fatal shooting a day earlier.
Investigators believe that Eusevio Salazar-Mendoza shot and killed Corrello Ramiro at 7942 Buck Road, off N.C. Highway 58, just south of Castalia on Saturday, authorities said. Details of the shooting haven't been released.
Salazar-Mendoza was last seen driving a black 1995 Jeep Cherokee with North Carolina license plate number ZWW-1489. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.
