NASA astronaut plans to cast her ballot from space
NASA astronaut Kate Rubins told The Associated Press on Friday that she plans to cast her next vote from space - more than 200 miles above Earth.
Yeah, absolutely. And there's been there's legislation passed a number of years ago to allow astronauts to vote in space. I think a lot of astronauts do this. They feel that it's very important. Um, it's critical to participate in our democracy. We considered an honor to be able to vote from space and so way fill out a farm and we vote via absentee ballot on. I plan on doing that in November. I think it's really important for everybody to vote. And if we can do it from space, uh, then I believe folks can do it from the ground, too.
