RALEIGH, N.C. — Spring, summer and fall graduates of North Carolina State University will hear from a fellow alumna, astronaut Christina Koch, a virtual commencement ceremony on Dec. 4.
Koch, who holds two bachelor's degrees and a master of science from NC State, set the record earlier this year for the longest single spaceflight by a woman – with a total of 328 days in space. Along with fellow NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, she participated in the first all-woman spacewalk.

Chancellor Randy Woodson will confer an honorary degree on Koch during the ceremony.
