ASHEBORO, N.C. — Since we've been talking about Christmas on here lately with posts about Holiday Express and the Polar Express, I thought I'd share details about another event planned for this December at the North Carolina Zoo.

The N.C. Zoo will host Believe over the weekends of Dec. 4 and Dec. 11. It will take place only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Here's a description, courtesy of the zoo's website: "Come celebrate the magic of the season at the North Carolina Zoo's holiday Believe event. Enjoy touring the Zoo decked out for the holidays and making memories at the daytime holiday event, including Santa and Mrs. C, all in one stop!"

According to the zoo's website, details about advance ticket purchases will come. Wristbands will include a memory photo with Santa and Mrs. C, a holiday scavenger hunt, holiday treats, a ride on the holiday carousel, a holiday tree house and more.

"All activities will be family-friendly and will not involve screaming or other high-risk activities," the website says. So there you go.

The zoo is in Asheboro, about 90 minutes from the Triangle.
