Three lanes of Interstate 40 west were closed Monday night after a multiple vehicle wreck, Raleigh police dispatchers said. 

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Three lanes of Interstate 40 west were closed Monday night after a multiple vehicle wreck, Raleigh police dispatchers said.

The wreck was reported on I-40 at Aviation Parkway before 10:30 p.m. and involved at least three vehicles, officials said.

There were injuries, but specific information on how many people were injured was not immediately available.
