The Museum of Life and Science has a new Halloween event this year.

BooFest is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 31, and is included with admission to the museum, which is $21 for adults and $16 for kids ages 3 to 12.

The event, according to the Durham museum, is a celebration of all things kooky, but not so spooky.

There will be animal experiences, story time, games and non-candy treat stations. The museum is encouraging costumes for all guests as long as they are family-friendly without weapons or full face masks.

They'll also have a showcase of pumpkins decorated by museum staff members.

More information is on the museum's website.
