Durham, N.C. — The Museum of Life and Science has launched a new activity that encourages museum visitors to get out and explore its campus.
The Walk of the Week started this week and will continue for the rest of the winter. Every Tuesday, according to the museum's Facebook page, the museum will send out a clue that will direct visitors to a destination somewhere at the museum. The locations will be posted on Facebook and a map at the check-in desk.
Participants can win a museum prize pack when they participate. This week's clue is ""find a winter bloom." Check the museum's Facebook post to learn more about how to participate this week.
Matt Pusateri, the museum's senior director of marketing, says that the program's goal is to encourage museum's visitors to get out and move safely, especially at a time when so many of us have been stuck inside. The program is in support of Durham Public Schools' Wellness Wednesday campaign, but museum visitors are encouraged to take part in Walk of the Week any day the museum is open.
