DURHAM, N.C. — The Museum of Life and Science is hosting an after-hours event for families this week.

World of Robots, part of the Durham museum's Science Nights series, is 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 20. The program will take place mostly outside. Capacity is limited to ensure social distancing. The event is best for kids ages 7 to 13 and their families.

Here's a description:

Complete a challenge by designing, building, and programming a LEGO robot. Take a look inside some everyday robots to see what makes them tick. Finally, use your new circuitry knowledge to create an electronic gadget to take home with you! These robots will have you thinking of a world of possibilities.

Tickets are $25 for ages 3 and up. (Discounts are available for museum members.)

More information, including ticket details, is on the museum's website.
