Multiple Johnston County schools closed due to lack of power, heat
Four schools in Johnston County are closed Thursday due to a lack of heat or power for the buildings.

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Four schools in Johnston County are closed Thursday due to a lack of heat or power for the buildings.
North Johnston High, North Johnston Middle, Glendale-Kenly Elementary and Micro Elementary schools are all affected.
Buses will not run these routes, according to a message from Johnston County Schools, and parents and guardians of middle and high school students are being asked to pick up students who are already at school.
The power outage occurred before elementary students left for school.
Officials did not state the reason for the outage.
