Motorist drives into Cary lake
A Belmont man accidentally drove his vehicle into a pond Sunday afternoon in Cary.
Posted — UpdatedCARY, N.C. — A Belmont man accidentally drove his vehicle into a pond Sunday afternoon in Cary.
The 1997 Mercedes went into the lake at Cary Park along the 100 block of Walford Way at about 1 p.m.
Driver Nicholas Mase suffered a medical condition that caused him to run off the road, authorities said. He was able to make it out of the vehicle safely.
No injuries were reported.
Crews used a crane to pull the vehicle out.
