Motorcyclist seriously injured in Raleigh crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a crash Thursday afternoon on Six Forks Road in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a crash Thursday afternoon on Six Forks Road in Raleigh.

Raleigh police said the motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the 5900 block of Six Forks Road at about 1:50 p.m.

The motorcyclist was take to WakeMed with serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The crash forced the closure of all southbound lanes of Six Forks Road for about two-and-a-half hours. The lanes reopened at about 4:30 p.m.
