— A motorcyclist was airlifted to WakeMed after a wreck at Murchison Road and Washington Drive around 7:20 p.m. Friday.

Police said the driver of a Chevrolet truck turned left from Murchison onto Washington into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The truck struck the motorcycle, ejecting its driver and throwing the man over the hood of the truck, officers said.

Officials said they thought the motorcyclist's injuries were serious but non-life-threatening. The truck driver was not seriously hurt.
