Princeville residents weigh options after Hurricane Matthew

A deadly crash shut down part of Hillsborough Road Sunday night in Durham.

Shortly after 7 p.m., a motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck at the intersection of Hillsborough Road near N.C. Highway 147.

Monty Mangum, 57, of Durham was driving a motorcycle and heading eastbound on Hillsborough Road when he crossed over the double yellow line and hit the pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hillsborough Road was closed overnight between Operations Drive and Neal Road. As of Monday at 1:30 a.m., the road has reopened.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
