Motorcyclist charged with reckless driving after hitting 7-year-old

A motorcyclist is being charged with reckless driving after Raleigh police said was going too fast, hit some parked cars and clipped a 7-year-old girl Friday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A motorcyclist is being charged with reckless driving after Raleigh police said was going too fast, hit some parked cars and clipped a 7-year-old girl Friday night.

Raleigh police said the incident happened just after 10 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Burgundy Street. The motorcyclist, who was not named, was going too fast and hit some parked cars, then clipped the girl, who was also not named.

The motorcyclist has a broken thumb and the girl was being checked out at the hospital but her injuries didn't appear to be serious.
