Kimberly Boykin, the mother of 4-year-old Jaylen Boykin who died earlier this month, has been arrested and charged with felony child abuse.
Her boyfriend, Jaquaris Hines, was charged with murder in connection to Jaylen Boykin's death early December.
Authorities said the boy was taken to Betsy Johnson Hospital on Dec. 12, where staff suspected he was the victim of child abuse. He later died of his injuries.
Kimberly Boykin, 29, from Dunn, was being held under a $100,000 bond.
