MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A major winter storm has canceled 30 flights at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
The number of cancellations on Friday morning was double the number reported Thursday. Track any flight in the country here.

Many of the grounded flights were headed to Texas, where the Dallas airport had to be closed for a short time Thursday night because the runways were too dangerous for pilots to navigate and planes had to be de-iced.

The Dallas airport reopened Friday morning, but very few flights were coming and going.

The winter storm is impacting a wide stretch of the country, from Texas to New England, and some places reported snow totals above a foot, including parts of Illinois and Missouri.

More than 3,500 flights are canceled nationwide due to the storm.

Delta, American and United Airlines are already issuing waivers and letting travelers rebook flights at no cost.
