More than 100 customers without power after crash in Siler City

More than 100 customers were left without power Friday morning after a crash near Siler City.

SILER CITY, N.C. — More than 100 customers were left without power Friday morning after a crash near Siler City.

The crash was reported before 6:30 a.m., when a car hit a power pole and brought down power lines on Old U.S. Highway 421 at Hamp Stone Road.

Duke Energy estimated 138 customers in the area were without power.

The estimated time for restoration was noon.

WRAL News is working to learn if the driver was injured in the crash.
