More than 10 units damaged in 3-alarm fire at SC campground

More than 10 units were damaged in a fire at a campground near Myrtle Beach on Sunday morning.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — More than 10 units were damaged in a fire at a campground near Myrtle Beach on Sunday morning.
The fire occurred at Ocean Lakes Family Campground on South Kings Highway in Surfside Beach. In total, 11 units were damaged and two were destroyed in a three-alarm fire, according to a WMBF report.

The fire is now under control and crews are investigating the cause. Three people were displaced and are being helped by the American Red Cross.

There were no significant injuries from the fire. One homeowner was given oxygen for smoke inhalation.

The campground is made up of oceanfront campsites and beach house rentals.
