Moped driver injured in Harnett County wreck
A man driving a moped was injured in Harnett County Tuesday night after being hit by a car as he tried to turn into a gas station off Ray Road, in Spring Lake, state Highway Patrol officials said.
Posted — UpdatedSPRING LAKE, N.C. — A man driving a moped was injured in Harnett County Tuesday night after being hit by a car as he tried to turn into a gas station off Ray Road, in Spring Lake, state Highway Patrol officials said.
The wreck happened around 9 p.m. and temporarily closed Ray Road, authorities said.
The man's name and condition were not released, but troopers said he was wearing black clothes, a black helmet and was driving without a headlight.
The driver of the other vehicle will not face charges. No other information about the wreck was released.
