Moore County man accused of dog stealing

CAMERON, N.C. — A Cameron man is accused of stealing a dog.

The Moore County Sheriff's Office received a report of a stolen dog on Nov. 3 from a Vass area resident.

On Nov. 6, Timothy Cole, 47, of 310 Hannah Lori Drive, was charged with dog larceny and possession of stolen property.

Cole claims that a former girlfriend abandoned the dog and that he was taking care of it. He plans to make that case during his court appearance on Dec. 10.
