<b>CARTHAGE, N.C.</b> — Moore County sheriff's deputies arrested Damon Todd Smith, 17, of 172 Woodward Lane in Carthage Nov. 28 and charged him with burglary, robbery and assault on a handicapped person.<br />

According to Sheriff Lane Carter, Ike Woodward of Carthage reported someone broke into his home, assaulted him and took his wallet. It was the second break-in in a month, Woodward told sheriff's deputies.<br />

Smith was being held at the Moore County Detention Center on $75,000 secured bond.
