What's on your menu this week?
Whole wheat pasta (free at HT during last Super Doubles)
Veggie tray with light ranch for dipping including baby carrots, cucumber slices, green pepper slices and grape tomatoes (most of the produce is on sale at HT through 8/28). My youngest doesn’t like “salad” but loves a veggie tray with all the same salad veggies except lettuce.
Canary melon slices (sister-in-law gave it to us because her weekly CSA produce box had too many for her to use. If you have never had a canary melon, it’s similar to a cantaloupe, although this one did not have a lot of taste).
Creamy Italian Garlic Baked Chicken (baked in 1 container of Philly Italian Herb cooking cream with added garlic and pepper and 4 oz shredded cheese added during last 10 minutes). I made this at the same time I made the chicken parmesan from Monday night’s menu. Why run the oven twice when I can batch cook all at once?!
Steamed carrots with a touch of butter and Parmesan cheese
Teriyaki stir fry tofu
Stir fry vegetables (mushrooms, onions, zucchini, green pepper)
Kahiki egg rolls (BOGO at HT and used coupon that Kahiki mailed to me upon request)
Whole wheat bread sandwich thins
Fruit (waiting to see what is on sale on Wednesday)
Pizza night! I think we will make homemade veggie pizzas this week.
Not sure yet - may let the girls be in charge of dinner!

Cantaloupe (on sale at Kroger through Saturday)
