Meteorologist, Amy Wilmoth in the WRL severe weather center, a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for our southern counties. It's just south of White County where we have the watch in effect and this is in effect until eight pm. This evening. We do have a level two risk for our southern counties as well. Severe storms possible through the afternoon through the evening. And even after sunset, we could see some of those severe storms, damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes would be the threats with today's round of storms. The level two risk is south of the triangle. It includes most of our southern counties and the level one risk is in effect for the triangle area. So we do expect some severe storms today, just make sure you have a way to get warnings if you're going to be out. And about this is a look at the radar right now. We're watching numerous showers and storms to the west and southwest of us and all of this is headed in our direction. So it will be fairly unsettled through the evening by five pm. We have some of those storms in the area, especially in our southern counties, seven o'clock, we'll have some storms, same thing at 9, 1011 o'clock tonight. And then by midnight it looks like the storms start to move out of our area and things will settle down overnight tonight. But we do have that threat for severe storms. So we have the weather alert day in place for today. It's going to be mainly late this afternoon and through the evening into the early nighttime hours, 79 for the high today, it's quiet Thursday. We'll have partly cloudy skies with a high of 8082 on Friday. It looks like it will stay dry. But then Friday night, we're back to a 50% chance for storms. We'll have scattered storms on Saturday. A few isolated storms on Sunday and then we dry Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 80 S.
