Model trains are back at Raleigh's Union Station for the holidays

North Raleigh Model Train Club has again set up a sprawling train set for the public to enjoy. It will be free to see from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekends, through Dec. 29.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The model train display is back at Raleigh Union Station for the holiday season.
North Raleigh Model Train Club has again set up a sprawling train set for the public to enjoy. It will be free to see from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekends, through Dec. 29, according to NC By Train.

Here's the schedule:

  • Nov. 30 and Dec. 1
  • Dec. 7 and Dec. 8
  • Dec. 14 and Dec. 15
  • Dec. 21 and Dec. 22
  • Dec. 28 and Dec. 29

You can find the set on the second level of the station. Parking is available on the street or at The Dillon, which is across from the station at 223 South West St.

If you go, don't forget the observation decks at the station where you also can watch real trains coming and going. The station is at 510 W. Martin St.
