— A wallaby , which went missing after jumping the fence at a veterinarian's hospital Wednesday, was caught in Rolesville just before 11 p.m. Saturday, veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Hummel said.

A team of eight to 10 people tracked Sydney the Wallaby into the woods near Rodgers Road and Young Street. They were able to capture the animal. Sydney was being brought back to an animal clinic to see if he is OK, Hummel said.

The wallaby, which looks like a small kangaroo, escaped from the Rolesville Veterinary Hospital while playing outside after treatment for an abscessed tooth, Hummel said.

The wallaby is owned by Noah's Landing Petting Zoo in Coats.
