KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — The family of a missing Knightdale woman confirmed to WRAL News that the woman was found safe in Queens, New York, but there are still questions as to how she ended up there.

Faith Rivera, 25, of Knightdale, was last seen Friday around 8:30 p.m. leaving her job at Mod Pizza, located at 2815 Rogers Road in Wake Forest.

Her mother, Lourdes Seecharan, told WRAL News Wednesday that her daughter was at a hospital and her 2016 red Ford Fiesta was also found nearby as well.

Seecharan said the outpouring of support on social media was immediate.

The family of a missing Knightdale woman confirmed to WRAL News that the woman was found safe in the Queens borough of New York, but there are still questions as to how she ended up there.

"People have been giving me supportive messages, asking if there's anything that can do," she said. "I am overwhelmed with the amount of support."

Seecharan said how her daughter got to New York remains a mystery.

"They say that she doesn't remember what happened, or I don't know if she blacked out. I don't know what happened," she said.

Seecharan says she's just relieved and happy her daughter is being cared for and getting help.

"The power of the community, but the power of the people...people that actually care enough," she said.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office had said investigators had opened a case into the woman's whereabouts.
