Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police said a 19-year-old man who disappeared nearly two weeks ago might be in danger.
Fashaad Montez Lee was reported missing on March 6 by his grandfather.
Officers combed the woods around Mazarick Park Friday morning looking for clues in Lee's disappearance. Cell phone records placed Lee near the park shortly after he disappeared.
Police said Lee was last seen at his home on Westdale Drive on March 5 after a visit by a "suspicious" man calling himself John.
The suspicious man was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a do-rag on his head and driving a green Subaru or Isuzu SUV.
Police said they are following up on several leads but would still like to speak with anyone who had contact with Lee on March 4 and 5.
Anyone with information about Lee or "John" was asked to call police at 910-433-1830 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Callers to Crime Stoppers never have to give their names.
