Missing children, car found in Graham; suspect at large
An SUV reported missing with two children inside early Sunday was found just before noon. Both children were unharmed.
Posted — UpdatedThe vehicle's owner, Alberto Perez Medina said three of his children were asleep in the white 2003 Cadillac Escalade at about 5 a.m. when it was stolen from 840 N. Sellars Mill Road in Burlington. One child was able to escape.
Burlington police told WXII-TV in Winston-Salem that Medina and his family gave the suspect a ride when he hopped in the driver's seat and took off. Authorities are looking for Jamie Sosa, of Winston-Salem, whom they plan to charge with kidnapping.
The car and the other two children – ages 11 and 4 – were found safe near Medina's home in the 1100 block of Mobile Park Road in Graham.
