Missing Chapel Hill woman found, police say

Chapel Hill police are asking for the public's assistance looking for a missing woman.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A missing Chapel Hill woman who was last seen Friday afternoon has been found alive, police confirmed to WRAL News Saturday morning.

Authorities said Jennifer Butchko, 62, was found in Sanford outside a building although they did not immediately disclose any additional details about her condition or who found her.

Butchko was last seen Friday around 12:30 p.m. leaving a residence on Village Crossing Drive in Chapel Hill, police said.

Butchko was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt and possibly a red sweatshirt. She is likely driving a white 2011 Toyota Corolla with the NC license plate FLS-4340.
