Millbrook High School affected by late morning power outage
Millbrook High School and 6,000 nearby customers were affected by a power outage Monday after a downed tree damaged a power line.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Millbrook High School and more than 6,000 customers were affected by a power outage Monday after a downed tree damaged a power line.
According to Duke Energy, a total of 6,713 customers were affected at noon. The outage was first reported at 11:30 a.m., with more than 3,000 without power.
At 1 p.m., power had been restored to most customers, with less than 300 outages remaining.
Officials with Wake County schools said classes at Millbrook High School continued during the outage.
