If you have ever wondered what causes weather and how to predict it, then Stormfest is for you.
The annual event at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is about all things weather – from natural disasters to the effects weather can have on animals.

And where there is weather, there is WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel. He and all of the WRAL meteorologists will be on hand on Saturday.

Fishel will be participating in the 2:30 p.m. "Ask the Experts" panel in the WRAL 3D Theater. WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner will be fielding your weather questions there during the 10:30 a.m. discussion. Send your questions for the meteorologists to raleigh.stormfest@noaa.gov.

While you are at the museum, make sure to stop by the WRAL Digital Theater on the main museum floor for free showings of the 3D epic "Tornado Alley."

In addition to exhibits and hands-on experiments, there will be emergency response vehicles and a storm-chasing vehicle on site.

The free event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
