Tell us about your career journey and how you ended up in your current position.

I was in school studying communications and television production. While in school, I landed a job as a radio personality at Foxy99 in Fayetteville. I enjoyed my experience as a radio host, but I relocated to Raleigh.. Moving here is where I discovered a newfound hobby and passion in which I turned into a business - a photography and photobooth called TamirajPhotobooth.

What's your favorite activity to do with your family?

My favorite activities with my family are having a backyard BBQ and going on family vacations.

What are you passionate about outside of work and family?

I am passionate about creating content, whether it's music, photography editing, or producing videos. I create content for my YouTube Channel, ForeverMiraj. I vlog my life as a mom and create lifestyle and celebrity news content.

What is the biggest lesson your children have taught you?

I'm a work in progress, so I'm always learning from my children, but some things that they have taught me are unconditional love and patience, and they are always watching me, so I'm a great example to them.

What is one book, podcast, article, social media account, blog or other resource you can recommend for moms?
SELF-CARE for MOMS By Sara Robinson is a book full of budget-friendly activities moms can do to care for themselves while caring for others.
Many couples need that break and the opportunity to have time alone without their children. So, what does a night out for you and your husband look like?

We enjoy good food, so trying a new restaurant is a thing we love to do.

If you have a favorite go-to spot in the local area, what is it?

My favorite spots are HomeGoods because I love home décor and any good coffee spot.

What advice can you give other mothers on effectively managing the time and energy required for motherhood, a career, and a marriage?

Plan, set your goals and execute them.

Hire that cleaning service to clean the house, meal prep in advance, order groceries, and do pick up or delivery service; set a routine, and stick to it. Use that CROCKPOT and set those alarms to shut down everything so you can have time for yourself. This will help with balancing it all while putting more energy into things you love to do. And never be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
