McDonald’s Shamrock Shake

The Shamrock Shake has returned to local McDonald’s restaurants!

The best part? When you're indulging in the minty green favorite, you’re also supporting families staying at local Ronald McDonald Houses. McDonald’s will donate a portion of every Shamrock Shake purchased from Wednesday, February 13 to Sunday, March 24!

“The Shamrock Shake’s history is rooted in a legacy of love,” said Fred Huebner, President of the RMHC of NC Board. “Loyal customers can take comfort in knowing their sweet indulgence is making it possible for families to stay close to their seriously ill children as they receive treatment at area hospitals.”

The donations from the sale of the Shamrock Shakes will support families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake, the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill, the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem, the Ronald McDonald House at WakeMed, the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC and the Ronald McDonald House at Vidant Medical Center.

According to their press release, "RMHC of NC has set a goal of raising $30,000 during this campaign, which means restaurants in these areas must sell a combined 120,000 shakes. Families with a child being treated at an area hospital shouldn’t have to worry about where they will stay, if they can afford it, or when they might get their next meal or shower. They should only have to worry about supporting and loving their child. That’s where the local Ronald McDonald Houses come in and where customers’ small change can make a big difference."
