RALEIGH, N.C. — Friday’s weather is worth getting outside whenever you can, WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said.

“I cannot stress enough: Try to find some time to get outside tomorrow,” Maze said. “It will be a very nice day.”

Lower dew points will make the air feel refreshing, a pleasant contrast to the recent mugginess.

Friday morning will start with temperatures in the 50s in the Triangle.

By lunchtime, it will be 74 degrees with sunny skies.

The high will be 78 degrees.

A June cold front is to thank for the nice weather.

A high-pressure system that’s building in is keeping skies clear, and an upper-level wind pattern is keeping temperatures lower than normal.

“If you have the day off tomorrow, you picked a great day,” Maze said Thursday evening.

Father’s Day weekend will also be pleasant, Maze said, with a bit more humidity and only partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 80s.

Monday brings back steamy weather, with highs around 90 degrees.
