'The Masked Singer' recap: (Spoiler) was behind the mask?!
It's time to decode the clues and figure out who is behind the masks on season two of "The Masked Singer."
Posted — UpdatedIt was another weird night on "The Masked Singer" when a woman dressed like a giant flower competed against a guy with a huge eagle head. At the end of the night, another celebrity was revealed!
Flower vs. Eagle
The Flower came out of the gate with a soulful and very familiar voice. She sang "9 to 5" and easily wowed the judges. I think she's Tina Turner. The Eagle sang Meatloaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I won't do that)." It was quite obvious he wasn't a professional. His clues indicated that he is likely a radio or talk show host who interviews celebrities for a living. The Flower won easily, sending Eagle to the smackdown round.
Penguin vs. Fox
Penguin walked onto the stage like it was a runway! She sang Maren Morris and Zedd's "The Middle" and, despite not being a trained singer, she did alright. Her clues package mentioned being told she wasn't pretty enough. The judges had a lot of guesses, but Sherri Shepherd kept coming up.
The Fox was a stronger singer for sure. He performed Maroon 5's "This Love." He is a natural performer and dancer. The judges had a few guesses but no one really had a concrete idea of who it could be under the mask. It is definitely someone with a superhero connection. They will get more clues in the future, as Fox won the round and sent the Penguin to the elimination round.
Smackdown: Eagle vs. Penguin
Eagle started things off with "These Boots are Made for Walking." The Penguin answered with Fifth Harmony's "Worth It" and did some karate kicks that won over the judges. The Eagle lost the smackdown and had to take off his mask.
And the Eagle was revealed to be...Dr. Drew Pinsky! No one guessed him and I don't blame them. I used to watch him on "Celebrity Rehab," but hadn't thought about him in years!
What we know about the remaining contestants:
The Fox
Flower
The Penguin
