RALEIGH, N.C. — Two masked men threatened customers and robbed a Bank of America branch outside Crabtree Valley Mall on Friday afternoon.

Police said two men wearing ski masks and black clothing entered the Bank of America, 4325 Glenwood Ave., just before 2 p.m. One man carried two handguns.

The duo robbed two customers and demanded money from tellers, officers said. The bank branch sits in a parking lot outside Crabtree Valley Mall in north Raleigh.

The two fled in a Ford Escape, but stopped nearby and switched to another vehicle, a blue or gray Ford Fusion. Police later determined the Escape was stolen.

One of the male robbers stands between 6 feet 2 and 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs an estimated 250 pounds. Police described the second male robber as standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.

Both men were believed to be in their 20s or 30s.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department’s Detective Division at 919-890-3555 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-CRIME.
