Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes hits the PNC Arena for six shows starting Thursday that feature some of Marvel's most popular heroes.
On stage will be Spider-Man, the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and more. They'll be "racing against time," according to the show's description to recover the Wand of Watoomb before it falls into Loki's hands.

Here's what the show's description says: "This ancient artifact holds immeasurable mystical power and would allow Loki to achieve his eternal quest to crown himself ruler of Asgard and Earth. This all new show unites some of Marvel’s greatest Super Heroes including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk and Black Widow against some of the most threatening villains. Their journey sparks new feuds with old foes, pitting student against mentor, sister against sister and brother against brother."

To tell the story, the show relies on special effects, aerial stunts and cutting edge video projection and is designed for all ages. I'm sure there will be a lot of little Spider-Mans and Captain America's out in the audience. Just know this: Costumes are not allowed for anybody 14 years and older in the PNC Arena.

Some things to know about the show, according to Marvel Universe Live's website:
  • It features more than 25 Marvel superheroes and villains.
  • There will be brief periods of black out, safe use of pyrotechnics and loud special effects.
  • The show runs about 1 hour, 45 minutes, including intermission.
  • Strobe lights likely will be in use during the show.
  • All kids 24 months and older must have a ticket.

Tickets, which start around $18, are still available for the show.

We also have an exclusive ticket deal for opening night - 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25. Get $15 off opening night tickets (restrictions may apply) using the ASKMOM offer code. To use it, just key in ASKMOM in the offer code box at this Ticketmaster link.
