Marbles seeks teens for its Teen Play Corps program

Marbles Kids Museum is looking for rising seventh to 10th graders for its Teen Play Corps.

The program runs April to May 2019 and offers an opportunity for kids to build leadership skills as they work with Marbles staff. Participants playfully engage younger kids in exploring science, art, creativity, physical activity, and hands-on learning in Marbles exhibits, programs, camps, events and in the community, according to Marbles' website.

Applications are due by March 30. Interested teens will need to attend an upcoming information session at Marbles. It's required for youth, but optional for parents.

Here's the schedule for the information sessions:

Saturday, February 10, 3-5pm
Sunday, February 11, 3-5pm
Saturday, February 24, 2-4pm
Sunday, February 25, 3-5pm
Sunday, March 18, 1:30-3:30pm

Sunday, March 25, 2-4pm

The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences also is looking for teen volunteers. It will host a teen volunteer fair from from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Feb. 25.
