Marbles Kids Museum is contemplating some big changes to its second floor and seeking input from museum goers about possible changes.

The downtown Raleigh museum will hold an input session from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday. The brainstorm is free, but registration is requested. You can do that online on the session's Eventbrite page.

"By May 2019, the second floor of Marbles Kids Museum – from the Art Loft, through IdeaWorks and all the way to Think Tank – will look a lot different," the posting says. "Our goal is to create a fresh, vibrant space that fosters culturally relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math learning and exploration for all museum visitors, particularly the growing Hispanic, dual language learner population in Wake County – but we can’t do it without you!"

This will be one of several community sessions as Marbles considers changes to the space.

"At each session, we will ask a series of questions about your past experiences at Marbles and discuss how we can best to design this space to make it culturally relevant and accessible for ALL visitors," the Eventbrite listing says. "Lend your voice to the design process to ensure we create an exhibit in which open-ended role play experiences encourage children to be bold, tackle challenges for themselves and think critically as they solve problems inside a themed, content-rich environment."
