Marbles marks 12th birthday with $10,000 raffle
Marbles Kids Museum is celebrating its 12th birthday this weekend and, to celebrate, it's giving away $10,000.

NC 529 has partnered with Marbles on a raffle with a $10,000 cash prize. The downtown Raleigh museum will use proceeds from the raffle to support its play-based learning programs, according to a press release. Tickets are $30 for one, $50 for two and $100 for five. (And I'm told the odds of winning are pretty good at the moment.)
“It’s only because of the support that we’ve received that we can celebrate such a milestone. Team Marbles is beyond grateful to celebrate 12 years of for play-based learning at the museum,” said Sally Edwards, CEO of Marbles, in the release.
Marbles will have a bunch of special events from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, to mark the birthday, including DIY party hats and noise makers. NC 529 will be onsite opening up college savings accounts for visitors and matching deposits for new accounts up to $25. Activities are free with admission, which is $7 per person.
Raffle tickets are on sale through 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, or until all tickets are sold out. The drawing takes place at noon, Sunday, Sept. 29.
