Man who barricaded himself in Cary apartment now in custody

— A man who was barricaded in an apartment in Cary on Wednesday is now in custody.

Wake County Sheriff Eric Curry told WRAL's Rosalia Fodera the suspect was taken into custody just before 9:30 p.m. Cary police and members of the Wake County Sheriff's Office were stationed at an apartment at Woodlyn on the Green apartments for several hours. The Wake County Sheriff's Office tactical response team was called in to assist.

The wanted person's name has not been released along with a reason why the person was wanted or barricaded.
