DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting 10 days earlier, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 600 block of Hardee Street shortly after 6 p.m. on Oct. 2 and found 33-year-old Aaron Dwayne Reese dead inside a vehicle in the parking lot.

Investigators said the shooting didn't appear to be random.

Bashir Amir Perry, 31, was arrested in Hillsborough by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged with murder in Reese's death. He was being held without bond Wednesday in the Durham County jail.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4440, extension 29163, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
