Man turns himself in following Durham bank robbery

Durham, N.C. — A man who was wanted for robbing a bank on Thursday has turned himself in, police said Sunday.
Ira Desmond Jackson, 52, turned himself in for robbing a Wells Fargo located at 4709 Hope Valley Road. He was being held Sunday in the Durham County jail under a $250,000 bond.
On Thursday afternoon around 3:45 p.m., a man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller, police said. The man implied he had a gun and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
