Man taken to Durham hospital after shooting

Police were investigating after a man was shot in Durham on Thursday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police were investigating after a man was shot in Durham on Thursday night.

Police said the shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Fayetteville Street and Nash Street. The man was shot in the shin and hip and was able to drive away from the scene following the shooting, police said.

A friend drove him to Duke University Hospital, where he was in stable condition, police said.
