Man arrested, charged in connection to Durham stabbing

Deputies were called to a home in the 2600 block of Bivins Road around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

DURHAM, N.C. — A man wanted in connection to a stabbing earlier this month in Durham has been arrested.

Charles Majette Jr. was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and breaking and entering with intent to terrorize.

On Dec. 3, deputies found a man who had been stabbed multiple times during a fight with a man he knew at a house in the 2600 block of Bivins Road.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is continuing to recover from his injuries.

Majette was taken into custody on Tuesday morning at the Red Roof Inn on N.C. Highway 55 in Durham.

He is being held at Durham County Detention Center without bond.
