Man stabbed in attempted robbery

— A man was stabbed during an apparent robbery attempt on Alston Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

The victim was cut with a knife while standing outside an apartment building at 219 S. Alston Ave. Witnesses said that three men fled in a grey Jeep Cherokee.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Duke University Medical Center.
